Clear Springs Development President James Traynor announced preliminary plans to construct age restricted housing in Baxter Village, Ft. Mill, South Carolina.

According to a report in the Fort Mill Times, Traynor stated in support of the age restricted housing that, “Over the years, we’ve gotten requests for senior housing and affordable senior housing. It’s either someone 55 or older directly requesting it or someone requesting it for their parents. Perhaps, mom or dad would like to move closer,” he said.

“Clearly, this isn’t for everyone. Some folks love age restricted housing. Other folks choose not to live in age restricted, but it’s an option. We’d like to be able to offer that option.”

The proposed housing will be rental apartments (one and two bedrooms) and not for sale units. The housing would be located on Sixth Baxter Crossing in a location already designated for development. Construction on the project is not expected to begin for at least a year. For more information you can contact Kerri Robusto at Clear Springs Development.
